No Rest for the Wicked: Big Changes at the 'Lazy River Design Works' Store

One of my resolutions for 2025 is to use this blog more effectively, which includes posting here when I make significant changes or additions to any of the three websites I run. The previous post updated changes to WhyTheAlgarve, and with this entry I feel like I'm making a good start to the year.

Having a niche that appeals to a specific segment of the market is a lesson I've learned and put into action with Big Shadows' noir theme, and one which is being applied to Lazy River Design Works going forward. The new focus of the store will be the coast of southwest BC - my neighbourhood, in other words - although I will be referring to it simply as West Coast BC for the sake of brevity. A major part of this theme will be the obvious and stunning natural beauty to be found here, but will also include our urban environments. That latter means Vancouver, mostly, but I'm not shutting the door to other towns.

While West Coast BC will be the most forward and front-facing design category on the site, there will also be Abstract and Low Humour designs. Abstract has a lot of potential overlap with West Coast BC, and Low Humour (itself a joke name, really anything funny, weird, or incongruous) demands to be included lest I explode. These designs will drift down through the feed and have their own pages, but the look and feel of the site as a whole will be West Coast. The Home Page has a major facelift underway, and the rest of the store is being stripped down, tightened up and generally refreshed.

Stay tuned!
